Free Throw Streak
In last night’s game against the Chicago Sky, Napheesa Collier extended her streak of consecutive free throws to 45, surpassing the previous single-season record held by Lynx legend Lindsay Whalen. Whalen, a four-time WNBA champion with the Lynx, set the prior franchise mark with 41 consecutive made free throws.
The all-time WNBA record for consecutive free throws belongs to Eva Nemcova. The former Cleveland Rocker made an incredible 66 straight free throws over the course of the 1999 and 2000 seasons, a record that has stood for over two decades.
More recently, Washington Mystics forward Elena Delle Donne, widely regarded as one of the greatest free-throw shooters in the history of the sport, made a remarkable run of her own, converting 58 consecutive free throws during the 2015 season. Delle Donne also holds the highest career free-throw percentage in WNBA history.
